Helsinki By Tram – a requiem for lines 3B and 3T is a composition comissioned by The Helsinki Police Band condacting by Sami Ruusuvuori

In the work, the composer describes, much in the same way as a movie soundtrack, the journey of tram 3T/3B trough Helsinki.

Levanto has calculated the distance between stops and then condensed this proportionately into the ten-minute piece which starts and ends at the grand Olympia terminal.

Pessi Levanto is particularly known for his TV and film music. He also had succes in the Japanese market composing chart-topping pop songs for the likes of ARASHI, SEXY ZONE and AFTERSCHOOL.
